AlphaGirlOne and AlphaBoyOne: Childhood

I thought I would backtrack to start, and show you better pictures of ZeroMom and ZeroDad subject. So here they are:

Anyway, AlphaGirl One successfully grew into a teenager, then a young adult, and went off to college:

In the meantime, AlphaBoyOne was adopted by Herb and Coral Oldie. For a while, things were great:

Things became significantly less great when Herb Oldie died, followed a few days later by Coral. I had to find a new home for AlphaBoyOne!

His adoptive father, Don Lothario, did not have the most child-friendly lifestyle, though he did get along really well with his cleaning lady:

Nevertheless, AlphaBoyOne seemed to fit right into the household:

He grew to a teenager, then to a young adult, and also went away to college:

Who did he meet in the dorms at Sim State University? AlphaGirlOne!

They were really attracted to one another from the beginning. It was ridiculously easy to get them to fall in love, drop out of college, and move in together. They were wed shortly thereafter, and became AlphaGirlOne Lothario and AlphaBoyOne Lothario.

It Begins

OK, I tried doing this a few years ago, and then with one thing and another, I sort of lost the thread. Anyway, I am back, and I am going to inbreed my Sims. This time, I am also going to document it all on this blog!

Easily my favorite part of Sims 2 over the original is that your Sims' kids grow up into adults, who can then make grandsims for your original Sims, and so on and so forth. As a general matter, the game does not let Sims designated as family members become romantically involved with one another. Therefore, getting your Sims to inbreed requires a little creativity. The way I have found to accomplish it is to get your young Sims (babies, toddlers, or children) taken away by social services for neglect. They will go into the adoption pool. Get them adopted by different new families, and voila! They are no longer "family" to one another, meaning they can meet later in life, fall in love, and breed. Hurray!

I began the experiment with a man and a woman, Mom and Dad Zero, and their two children, AlphaGirlOne Zero and AlphaBoyOne Zero:

The kids are sort of hard to tell apart, but AlphaGirlOne is on the left, and AlphaBoyOne is on the right. They look happy here, but Mom and Dad just did not want them inside the house (which is actually more of a trailer):

Soon enough, a social worker came to put a stop to this nonsense:

Success! I was off and running. The next step, once AlphaGirlOne and AlphaBoyOne were carted off in the Big Blue Van of Bad Parenting, was to get them placed in new homes and raised separately.

This actually hit an early snag. At first, I had AlphaGirlOne placed with this nice man and his dog:

Unfortunately, he made the mistake of going to work the day the adoption agency dropped AlphaGirlOne off, leaving her stranded on the lawn, alone. Social services came and took her away before her new father even got home. However, AlphaGirlOne soon found another new home, with the Burb family -- mom Jennifer, dad John, and sisters Lucy and Alice. Here she is, meeting Jennifer:

As you can see, things are working out a bit better with AlphaGirlOne Burb now. She has grown into a child, and even has a bed inside the house! Here she is, getting ready to read with her new mom:

Next step: adopting out AlphaBoyOne, probably to the Old family. I will also try to either get better snapshots, or give a more thorough description of each Sim's features, so that we can see to what extent the inbreeding begins to affect appearances.
